Anne Marie is currently working on updating the information for Sean. The logo will remain the same.

Safety Networking Breakfast
The Breakfast is being held on May 27th at Otello’s Banquet and Conference Centre
It will be held from 7:30-9:30am. The hall has been booked
Estimating about 50 people for attendance
The group went through the contact list from last year and tried to update it
It was decided that we mail out invitations instead of an email.
Microphone and sound system provided by the hall
Brian Ford and Brian Ellsworth have agreed to be the speakers for the breakfast event.
Need to get takeaways, business cards and centerpieces
Action:
Laurel to ask the 2 gentlemen about speaking about Risk Watch at the Breakfast
Ann Marie to call Otello’s to book the date.
Everyone to figure out what other safety committees or councils are out there
Crime Stoppers
Gary Gold and Tom Suddaby from Crime Stoppers joined us.
Back ground of Crime Stoppers:
Volunteer board with assistance from the police
Non profit – cash rewards for information that leads to an arrest. Tops out at $2000
Board raises money through fundraising and donations
They have asked if we would donate money to replace the Crime Stopper road signs in Halton. They have asked if would donate funds to replace 10 signs. Each sign would cost $1000 which would include a bottom piece with the Halton Region Safety Council name on it. We would have a two year exclusive with the councils name on the sign. After the two years we would have the option to donate more money to keep the Council name on the sign
Also, Crime Stoppers would put our logo on their website. We could also do a media release for the new signs. The launch date would be in May
MOTION: Propose that enough funds be donated to Crime Stoppers to replace 14 signs with a 2 year exclusive
